Raab Gelling Xylitol allows you to prepare fruit preserves without adding sugar. Xylitol, also known as birch sugar, possesses the same sweetening power as regular sugar.
Ingredients: sweetener: xylitol (E 967), gelling agent: pectin (E 440), acidifying agent: citric acid (E 330), dextrose, firming agent: calcium citrate (E 333)
Suggested use: Place 750 g of washed and chopped fruit (or 500 ml of fruit juice) in a large saucepan | Add the contents of the bag | Bring to the boil while stirring continuously and boil fast for 5 minutes | Fill into clean jars while hot and seal immediately with boiled screw-on lids
The proportion of fruit may be varied depending on the type of fruit and the desired firmness. For best results, please always use the entire package at once. Store jars in a cool, dark place and keep in the fridge once opened.
Note: Excessive consumption may produce laxative effects. Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place.
